Hoosick Falls Soccer Club
DREAMS DO COME TRUE....
The 2008 Fall Season marks a major milestone for the Hoosick Falls Soccer Club. Thanks to the generosity and hard work of families and small businesses in our community we have completed improvements to the entire facility; including two new scoreboards, bleachers, players benches, and a state of the art, Solar Powered, building. The new building houses, restrooms, concession, equipment room, garage, and office/changing/meeting room.
CATCH THE ACTION
The club is proud to be able to provide Hoosick Falls Central School facilities for their entire soccer program. All five teams will train and play matches at the facility. Matches will be held on Delurey Field and Holbrook Fricke Field. A complete schedule of matches can be found on the FALL 2008 CALENDAR.
EAT HEALTHY, BE ACTIVE, HAVE FUN...
Concessions will be open every Saturday through October for Club games and for all High School Varsity games. A complete calendar can be seen on the FALL 2008 CALENDAR. In keeping with our goals to develop kids with healthy bodies, and healthy minds we have created a menu with good foods that are designed to fuel our active bodies. The Club is also completely "green" with Solar Power, Organically maintained turf, Recycling, and the use of Reclaimed materials.
CLUB TRAINER
Gareth Isaac trainer@hoosickfallssoccer.org is this seasons Club Trainer. Gareth, Gaz for short, hails from Nottingham Forest in England. Gareth holds his FA Coaching Liscense and will coach the boy's modified team at the high school and be in charge of skill development for all Club teams.
NOT JUST FOR KIDS.....
This season we will be hosting ADULT PICK UP GAMES every Sunday at 5pm. Join Club Trainer Gareth Isaac and other parents, coaches, novices, ex. jocks etc. as we enjoy the game, friends, and lots of exercise. This is a great way to get in shape, gain an appreciation for the "beautiful game", and make new friends. Everyone is welcome!
RESPONSIBLE SPORTS
The Club emphasises Sportsmanship as part of it's mission. Coaches, Parents and Fans all serve as role models for our youth and represent our community in the athletic arena. The investment we make in teaching our children the value of Fair Play, Teamwork, and Respect at an early age will pay dividends thoughout their lives. Athletics teaches life lessons that reach far beyond the playing field. The Club has partnered with Responsible Sports to provide resources for Parents and Coaches on how to take full advantage of this golden opportunity. By using the resources provided you can also help the Club qualify for a $2500 grant from Liberty Mutual. To learn more go to the RESPONSIBLE SPORTS page.
The Hoosick Falls Soccer Club is committed to healthy bodies and a healthy environment. Please use our Recycling Center and trash receptacles to properly dispose of your trash. The club also has an account at Nickelback Redemption on Carey St. in Hoosick Falls. Please mention the Soccer Club when dropping of your redeemable bottles and cans.
