About the Hoosick Falls Soccer Club...
MISSION STATEMENT
The goal of the Hoosick Falls Soccer Club is to provide an organized program for the families of the Town of Hoosick and surrounding communities. Through the game of soccer we encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and athleticism so as to foster the positive development of our youth in a fun and safe environment.
GEORGE HELFT SOCCER COMPLEX and DELUREY FIELD:
Plans for an improved soccer complex have been completed and fundraising efforts are underway.
Developed with the input and resources of HosCot Builders, the new complex is set to include a permanent field house with a full kitchen, meeting room, restrooms, equipment storage space, and shelter.
The field will also feature an electronic scoreboard, players' benches, and spectator bleachers.
"Without a doubt, the Club already has one of the nicest fields in the captial district," says Tom Husser, Coach of the Hoosick Falls Central Girls Varsity Soccer Team. "With these enhancements we'll be able to host large tournaments, clinics and camps that will draw people and teams not only from the capital district but from the tri-state region."
Thanks to the generous support of The Delurey Family, the dream of a championship field will be a reality. The field, which will be officially named 'Delurey Field,' will be the crown jewel of the complex.
Support is still needed to make the balance of the complex a reality. According to Club President Steve Hinchliffe, "We hope to tap into the businesses and individuals in our community to help realize our 'field of dreams'," says Hinchliffe. "Through monetary contributions as well as the donation of time and materials, we can make this happen."
